Investigations

Back to tests

Previous results justify further testing of my two claims health perception and migraine healing. Health perception can be investigated through two types of tests: general readings for more of a general survey of the accuracy and scope of the claim, and missing organ detection for quantitative results (number score). Previous organ detection tests have yielded an overall result of 0.118% chance of achieving my level of overall accuracy by random guessing alone, and a result that beats 99.223% of all random guesserssource. Further tests added to these results will contribute to approaching the true value, either up or down. Previous trials indicate the need for further testing but do not verify that a skill would exist. Migraine healing claim has only had one test on one volunteer previously, but with incredibly positive results, also mandating more testing.

1 - General Readings
Volunteers needed: Skeptics only, no other requirement.
Procedure:
The volunteer sits down for 30 minutes facing away from me. I sit behind them and write down my impressions of their health. Nothing is said during the reading. After the reading the accuracy of my perceptions is determined either by having the volunteer describe the accuracy, or by construction of a questionnaire based on my impressions which will not provide leading questions to the volunteer.
Outcome:
The results are qualitative, not quantitative, ie. it is not possible to score points. Readings will illuminate as to the type of perceptions and their general accuracy.

Example: An example of what a general reading is like is the reading with Michael Shermer shermerreading.html

2 - Missing Organ Detection Test
Volunteers needed:
Any number of volunteers who are missing either a kidney or a uterus and any number of volunteers who are missing neither of these organs.
Also needed: Skeptics who find the volunteers and organize the test.
Procedure:
Participating skeptics locate the volunteers for the test and arrange for the volunteers to sit either several in a row or one at a time, facing away from me. I may construct an elaborate screen that only shows a part of their back. The volunteers are clothed including their back. Nothing is said during the reading. I write down my impressions and determine for each volunteer whether they are missing either left kidney or right kidney or uterus or none of these organs are missing. For larger scope tests the volunteers will undergo ultrasound (is a quick, noninvasive and harmless procedure) at my expense to determine the correct answers. For smaller scale tests with fewer volunteers, a volunteer's assurance of missing or not missing these organs is sufficient to verify the correct answers.
Outcome: The results are quantitative, ie. a points system and probability of the test are computed. The score of the tests is considered separately, and also added to the total score with the previous IIG and TAM tests.

Examples: Examples of what a missing organ detection test is like are the IIG test and the TAM demonstration IIGtest.html and TAMdemonstration.html

3 - Migraine Healing
Volunteers needed: Any persons with migraines.
Procedure:
Volunteers should keep a migraine journal at least two months before receiving the trial, listing when they have a migraine, how long one lasts, and other details - a migraine journal is not required but is benefitial. The volunteer is seated and receives a 30 minute trial healing. The healing is based on energy work/visualization combined with gentle applied pressure, designed on where I intuitively sense areas of pain and imbalance. Only the head and neck are involved. After the trial the volunteer should keep a migraine journal. The journal is for their own records only. After the trial the volunteer reports if there are any changes to their condition. Follow-up dating any length of time into the future after the trial is requested. The volunteers each decide the amount of follow-up and for what amount of time to provide.
Outcome:
The results will indicate whether a significant improvement in migraine condition was experienced by the volunteers coinciding with the time of receiving the trial. Extent of improvement if any and fraction of volunteers who experience improvement can be established. Note that any single coinciding improvement cannot be attributed to the trial healing simply by coinciding in time. Instead the results are based on the trend among a larger group of volunteers.

Example: Documented example of a previous migraine healing trial is not available. The person who did experience the one previous trial with positive results may be available to speak with persons but contact me first.

to volunteer for a test!

- Any costs associated with a test are covered by me.
- Volunteers choose whether to remain anonymous or whether they wish to personally attest to the results.

Note to all the critics (idiots) who try to stop my investigation simply because they attack any paranormal claimant for speaking out, while leaving all of the practicing claimants alone: none of my investigations are illegal or unethical in any way. With regard to the migraine healing claim, I am well-informed of the laws and regulations that apply and abide by all those. And be reminded that no money is involved, that none of my work is a scam. This is skeptical investigation, and in the name of skepticism it should be encouraged, not inhibited. Thank you.
