Dinner and a Reading with Mark Edward
April 2010 - Read Mark Edward's mean and very insulting sexist blog about me and my comment to it in the comments section, that I've posted under the name Anita Ikonen (yeah, that is my name!).

April 2010 - I had dinner with foremost Skeptic and skeptical activist Mark Edward (website and blog) and other California-based Skeptical friends and decided to do a quick reading on Mark.
This was written about by one of the Skeptics in her blog
Videotaped in a series of eight videos
Is now discussed in this JREF Forum thread
And was now written about in this blog as well

Susan, one of the Skeptics who was there, has posted pictures from that weekend including our dinner/reading. She posts a link to her pictures in her JREF Forum signature, so I make the assumption that it is ok for me to post that link here as well. Susan's pictures from April weekend in Hollywood. Thanks Susan, you are a sweetheart!

Bad Article in School Newspaper
November 7 2009 - My IIG Preliminary demonstration was written about in my school newspaper "UNC Charlotte's student inner sight", written before the Preliminary has taken place. We'll see what people write after the Preliminary!
(Bad because of poor journalism.)

Paranormal Review
November 15 2009 - Watch out for an article about me appearing in Roy Stemman's Paranormal Review soon.

IIG Montly Updates
November 2009 - IIG Press Release about our Preliminary demonstration. Press Release.
November 2009 - The Independent Investigations Group November 2009 update wrote about me.
(Other IIG montly updates may mention our test as well.)

The Big BadPsychics List
January 2010 - Seems I am now listed as a "Bad Psychic", on a list among heavyweights such as Sylvia Browne, John Edward, and Geller. I do no psychic readings, and all I do is investigate my claim in a skeptical manner. Such a privilege, most woos have to work very hard to make it to such a "prestigeous list"! Please note my use of irony here! BadPsychics.co.uk. Jon Donni who writes the website is actually a really nice guy (with an excellent British accent!), and I like his website very much. It is one of my favorite Skeptical websites, for its breadth of content, covered in a fun and easily accessible way.

The IIG on Skeptically Speaking
IIG members Steve Muscarella, Jim Newman and Spencer Marks discuss the IIG organization and my Vision From Feeling test in this February 12 2010 podcast of Skeptically Speaking.

The Rational Alchemy Podcast
I will be making a guest appearance on the Radio Show/podcast at Rational Alchemy hosted by Skeptics Jeff Wagg, Brian Walsh and Nigel Aves. We discuss my IIG test for an entire hour, and to throw in some drama, followed by some skeptical questions about my experience of ghosts. Be sure to browse among their library of hundreds of episodes, you are sure to find something you like. March 2010.

Then there is also Jim Carr's critical website about me, where I am not allowed to participate in my self-defense or to give my version of things as Mr. Carr values his one-sided discussions, something that counteracts his attempts at skepticism. www.stopvisionfromfeeling.com. Don't believe everything they say, and not without hearing my version of things too. Bring your salt and apply copiously.

My other non-related skeptical comments
August 15 2010 - Another comment on THE PASSION OF SAINT MEL (GIBSON THAT IS).

August 12 2010 - I thought I would have nothing to say as I read through Michael Shermer's blog THE PASSION OF SAINT MEL (GIBSON THAT IS) as it deals with religion which is least of my worries, but finally the last paragraph, "To this combustionable cocktail of wrong-headed ideas and evil intent, add three more characteristics to bring Saint Mel into full light: a hot head temper with a hair trigger mouth and a propensity to drink.", led me to have something to say, Anita Ikonen says #comment-24929.

July 22 2010 - Comment in Mark Edward's Skepticblog I wasn't there...but.

July 17 2010 - Posted a response in Ashley Miller's blog TAM: For the Ladies?, where a Jim Carr copycat posted something that is just silly and wrong.

July 16 2010 - Posted a comment regarding sexual discrimination and harassment in skepticism and TAM, in
TAM: For the Ladies? - by Ashley F. Miller

June 30 2010 - I wrote a comment as response to a critical skeptical blog
Why I'll never return to JREF Forum or The Amaz!ng Meeting
(Note! This is the title of the woman's blog! Not indicative of my personal views in any way!)

May 3 2010 - I was stunned to see a supposed and perhaps somewhat prominent Skeptic promoting his uneducated view that chemistry and nutrition be pseudoscience, so here is what I wrote in response to Brian Dunning.

Insult of a Skeptic #2 of the Day: I say both Plait and Hawking be wrong. I think my work here is done. Until tomorrow.
