Evaluation of the Claim of Health Perceptions

What do the tests say of the claim so far? What are the possible explanations?

The first question to be answered by this investigation was, is there accuracy to a significant degree? Previous study and tests have revealed that the accuracy is higher than it should be. The question then remains, what is the source of that accuracy? The fact that I am detecting things that should not be detectable suggests that I am not simply using external clues or good observational skills. The claim remains, and it remains a paranormal one. More work needs to be done to learn more about the claim.

Attention to details?
Something that makes me different from most people is the way that I am attentive to my surroundings and to details and patterns around me. Ever since I was a child, I would rather look at water puddles or plants or insects or the sky than just confine myself to a small space to only talk with a person. It is not that things around me are a distraction, but that I notice things. When I am in an environment I look around much more than other people do, but so I notice more around me.

Some people suggest, and that includes Michael Shermer that perhaps my apparent skill in detecting health information in people is just the result of being attentive to details and able to find patterns more easily than most people do. I do not know the answer to that question, because many of the things I detect do not have any known external clues that would be available. I wanted to share this picture with you. Look at the picture for one minute.

What were the things that you noticed about the picture? Did you know that when I first saw the picture, I was drawn instantly to the beautiful necklace of the woman and spent several minutes admiring just the necklace and her hair and dress, well because women like to look at things like that. I like to admire paintings and how lifelike some can be. It was only when I opened the image again another time when I was startled to see the decapitated head! I had not seen the head at all when I was first gazing at the necklace and hairdo. Can you believe it? How can anybody miss the head? Well because I can focus so intensely on select areas to use the focus that would otherwise be spread all across an image and to use all of that on only a small part. It is that kind of focus and attention I use to peer into the body, or that is how I experience it. So that is the kind of attention to detail and focus that I can have when I look at people. I can imagine that most people would not be able to not see the head on the plate, and trust me had I seen it it would have startled me, like it did the second time when I did see it, and like it still does now.
